Design process

We analyze your project, consider the technical aspects of the site, as well as the design codes. Our proposals are accompanied with plans or 3D images, for a better visualization.

Treads

Enhace your staircase by selecting the type of wood treads that best fits the architectural style of your space. Here are the most popular wood types for floating stairs treads:

Red Oak, Hard Maple, Hickory, Ash, White Oak and Walnut

How do I choose? The aesthetic is one factor, and the other is how intensive the traffic is on the stairs. The are beautiful wood treads with different levels of resistance.

The resistance to denting of that wood species is known as the Janka Hardness Scale. A number higher than 900 is acceptable for wood treads. As you choose a higher-rated wood, you can rest assured that your wood tread will stand the test of time and be durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of people coming and going for many years to come.
